Lara Logan

 Lara Logan, born 29 March 1971 is an South African radio and television journalist and war correspondent. Between 2002 and the year 2018, she worked as an CBS News correspondent. Jeff Fager, director of 60 Minutes, called her inaccurate and biased story about the 2012 Benghazi attack "the most grave mistake I've made I've made in the past 10 years." She joined the Sinclair Broadcast Group in 2019 which is a conservative media corporation. In January 2020 she joined Fox Nation, a subscription streaming service operated by Fox News. She stated she was "dumped” by the network in March 2022. Logan was a journalist for the Sunday Tribune of Durban during her studies (1988-1989) which was followed by the Daily News of the city (1990-1992). She was hired by Reuters Television Africa in 1992 as an executive producer. After four years then, she switched to freelance journalism. Assignments included a reporter/editor/producer with ITN, Fox/SKY News in London, CBS News, ABC News in London, NBC, NBC and European Broadcasting Union. CNN employed her to write about such events as the 1998 United States Embassy bombings in Nairobi, Tanzania and the conflict in Northern Ireland.
